The role we are offering you:

 

The Hardware Engineering and Design department is responsible for providing hardware solutions for all of CAE's training devices. Our multidisciplinary team is trained and dedicated to its task and has extensive expertise in numerous sectors, such as mechanical, electrical and electronic engineering.

 

Our primary mission is to design, configure and manage the development of cost-effective hardware solutions that meet client requirements.

 

  • Work on a team responsible for electrical design, support of electrical systems for the fight simulator cockpit.
  • Participate in the analysis of drawings, specifications and requirements for internal and external clients.
  • Help define the configuration of simulator materials and develop bills of material, wiring diagrams, and schematics of the electrical system necessary to run the equipment in a simulation environment.
  • Participate in the design of the electrical schematics and wiring diagrams of the systems needed to stimulate these devices in a simulation environment.
  • Define and prepare documentation and technical drawings related to simulated instruments and panels.
  • Find technical solutions to meet project requirements.

Requirements

Our ideal candidate has:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or equivalent underway.
  • Knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Practical knowledge of CAD systems, word processing and spreadsheet software.
  • Good technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage priorities in a context of multiple and complex deliveries.
  • Experience with E2A, SEE Electrical, Powerdraft an asset.
  • Bilingualism essential.

Access conditions

*All applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and must meet the requirements of the Canadian Controlled Goods Program (CGP). All hires will be required to complete, sign and return the Controlled Goods Program form within a week of its transmittal. They must also provide a copy of their passport or birth certificate. All students with a work permit must provide a copy of it and a police clearance certificate from the country or countries where they have resided in the past five years.

 

*Please take note that if you are on a student, work or international student permit, the delays for the security background check can take up to 8 weeks.

 

*For all interns hired, we will reimburse the internship costs for up to $250 per intern upon presentation of supporting documents.
