Informations pratiques

Variational quantum algorithms (VQA) allow to take advantage of current quantum computers which are characterized by a limited number of qubits and the presence of noise. Among the applications that best lend themselves to VQAs is machine learning where the goal is to train a model from data.

This micro-WIL will provide an introduction to the implementation and training of variational quantum classifiers (VQC) using the Qiskit software development kit.

Description

Elements covered during the micro-WIL:

  • Binary classification in machine learning
  • Implementation of quantum circuits with Qiskit
  • Translation of classical data into quantum states
  • Implementation of a quantum classifier
  • Training a quantum classifier

FORMAT:

  • Date: February 22nd 06:00 pm (EST)
  • 100% virtual
  • Free
  • In English
  • Only one registration per candidate is allowed for this micro-WIL, either for the French or the English activity. Double applications are not permitted. For the French activity, please refer to the "micro-WIL" tab and select the French activity.
