  • material properties (chemical, metallurgical and composite),
  • flight technologies,
  • industrial production,
  • information technology,
  • supply chain, and more?

Join us on January 18th!

Come and take part in the Micro-WIL: Virtual tour & internship opportunities, on Tuesday January 18, 2022.

During this micro-WIL, you will be able to attend a virtual tour of Bell Textron Canada, followed by two workshops during which you will have privileged exchanges with supervisors and experts.

This micro-WIL will allow you to discover the range of careers available to you => from design and research, through design, analysis, testing and manufacturing processes, to the production of vertical take-off aircraft.

Description

You will have the chance to see the contribution of different employees to complete the addition of a new generation of avionics systems on our 429 model. The rapid evolution of avionics systems requires regular renewal to benefit from the support of suppliers, to allow our systems to interact with each other, but especially to offer our customers the latest technologies.

The workshops will allow you to experience a short immersion in the reality of the employees working in the innovation team to develop the technologies that will enable the implementation of the vision of the future of vertical take-off aircraft - more specifically the work done to design, analyze and test a ducted fan for an air taxi prototype.

At the time of registration, you will be asked to choose 3 workshop themes. All participants will then be assigned to the thematic virtual rooms.

The 8 workshop themes would be:

   1- Mechanical design
   2- Avionics system
   3- Structural analysis
   4- Project engineering
   5- Innovation
   6- Materials and processes
   7- Mechanical and avionics laboratory
   8- Flight test and instrumentation

Note: Each participant must choose 3 of the 8 proposed themes. Afterwards, students will be assigned to 2 of the 3 selected workshops. The selected choices are not guaranteed.
